Description
In India, the culture wars that get the most attention are those that take place within the Hindu community, between conventionalists and secularists. They mainly concern religious and national symbols, the definitions of Hinduism and secularism, caste, history, and, like for Bismarck, the school curriculum. Here, the warring parties foam at the mouth and even indulge in divisive or ‘anti-national’ activities that can ultimately cause civil war or the nation’s disintegration.
